The programme includes up to 12 sessions of films from all genres that are thought-provoking, heart warming, and engaging. Our films can be edgy, they can be groundbreaking, and they can be downright hilarious – as long as they tell a compelling story of the world and people, around us.
Over eight years, The Indian Express Film Club has become renowned for its high-quality international programme, which is largely thanks to a very unique curating system. The films are selected by the Express Film Club critic, Shubhra Gupta, who searches for films that need to be seen more, films that engage the mind and the heart.

We're all about helping us grow together, as individuals, and a collective in a bid to understand the world better through the power of cinema.
We promote the art of films as a medium that fosters cross-cultural understanding and exploration. We offer members unique opportunities to experience the wealth of cinema, to engage with and learn from visiting filmmakers, and to come together and share these experiences as a community.
